These are perfect for side nightstands. They are a little light so be careful. But they are beautiful and put out just the right amount of light. It's a statement piece that draws the eye and complements any room.

After reading some reviews, I was pleasantly surprised how nice this lamp looks. Not flimsy, more substantial than expected. And yes, it does stand straight if you know what you are doing. I will agree that I wish it was brighter as it is the only light for the guest bedroom and it is kinda dark in there. I am thoroughly impressed with the craftsmanship.
